MSC Meraviglia is packed with extraordinary features for the perfect experience at sea in any season. We really enjoyed our time on the MSC Meraviglia. THE GOOD: - All the staff were amazing. They were kind, attentive, and fun. Especially our cabin attendant Elden, and our waters Jason and Jonathan. They made sure our sailing was spectacular. - The cabins and public areas were extremely clean and frequently cleaned. - Coffee (especially the cappuccinos) - Pools were clean and good temperature (although they were a bit busy) - Embarkation & muster drill was super easy (definitely just get it out of the way as soon as you board) Areas I'd love to see improvement: - The food: There was some really good food (especially in the main dining room), however I often found a lot of the food to be just average. I'd also like to see more variety of food included in the cruise fare, since only the buffet and main dining are included. - Cabin beds: The cabin beds were not great. They were on the harder side and often uncomfortable. Things to Consider Before Booking: (essentially stuff that that the cruise line can't make immediate changes to): - Only 2 American and 2 European outlets in our cabin - make sure to get an adapter - Shower was pretty small - Not many FREE activities beside the pool and some hosted-events.
I normally do not write a ton of reviews but after experiencing this ship for myself after seeing how many people write bad reviews about MSC and specifically the Meraviglia I felt like I needed to write something so people got the real story. Granted reviews are people’s own personal experiences and they should not be discredited but I feel like a lot of these bad reviews seem unwarranted. This was my first cruise in over 20 years and MSC was a great choice! We went with the Aurea experience. I am wondering if alot of the complaints are from Aurea or Yacht club experience levels , I would venture to guess no. We loved the anytime dining and the top 19 lounge . We also loved the thermal spa . I used it every morning and it was perfect! I never had a hard time getting a drink at any of the bars no more than a few minute wait and I believe the cruise was at max capacity. The food was all in all pretty good , main dining room was very good and we ate there most nights. We did have two specialty restaurants (tepanyaki and Butchers Cut) both were 8 or 9 out of 10 . Ocean Cay was amazing . We booked another cruise with MSC already and cannot wait to see that island again. Overall I would say if you do go on Meraviglia book as Aurea or higher and relax! Have a great time like we did . We loved MSC and Meraviglia.
We had a great time with Msc Meraviglia. Our waiter at our dining Mr. Randillion at l'olive Doro was exceptional and so generous and made is feel at home. He was so nice we didn't miss a night dining. We adore him. Vanessa, as we entered, always complimented us always with a smile. Randillion's right-hand man Iancarlo was also so nice and humble. Also I have to say the room attendant of room 10201 was so kind and attentive to our needs. Although they work so hard to serve us , they always receive us with smiles. Everything was exceexceptional, we would definitely look forward in returning to msc Meraviglia. We loved everything, they thing that was missing was more exterior activities for kids. Eg. Board games, soccer ball access and more zip lining etc. But all in all as a family we dod enjoy everything See you soon
