Feliz Navidad y próspero Año Nuevo a todo el personal del Barco Poesía. I wish all the ship's crew and their families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2025. May this year bring success, adventure, and good surprises, and have a safe sea journey. On this transatlantic trip in November 2024, which I took from Lisbon, each new day was a celebration of life because of you. You made your best effort to respond to our needs, demands, and complaints with patience. Corrado: scusi per lisboa Thanks to the entertainment group for the marvelous atmosphere and their ability to bring together all the passengers. You are the best at sea, without a doubt!!!!!!!!!!!! You changed our mood. I danced from morning till night, I sang all these lovely songs from different Latin American countries, most of them for the first time, because this trip was my first contact with Latin America. And I want to hear the songs again. Unfortunately, I can't find these songs on the internet. Please, someone inform me. Shoe-Shoe doen’t fly, just walk. Andrea, a great teacher, a man who with his dancing lessons teaches people and makes them happy. Hλία, καλή χρονιά με υγεία και πολλά πολλά ταξίδια. Giulietta, continue with the karaoke; you are multitalented. Without you, the cocinero argentino wouldn't make it. A pesar de que Martín fue una agradable sorpresa. Martín, que tengas éxito en tu carrera. Te deseo que compartas muchas comidas con caras amadas. All of you give us laughter and happiness. Joy to your hearts.
This was our 2nd MSC cruise. We went in guarded because the last one had very bland food.. Lets start. Getting on in Southampton was a breeze. We had flown from Canada to London Heathrow, and took the National Express bus to Southampton. Our hotel the Moxy was close to the terminal so if you have smaller luggage you could walk it in 10 minutes. After boarding we still wanted to see thing in Southampton so we got off and did more sightseeing. At dinner they had us sitting with 4 other people so we asked to be set at a table for 2. We had to wait 30 minutes the 1st night but after that we could sit at the designated time. Next morning we were at Le Harve. We are going back there in September so we did some recon and local sightseeing. One of the things we wanted to see was the Botanical gardens. After walking a looong time up the hill there they said they were closing for the afternoon?????? As I said we are going back in September and will be renting a car and heading to Juno beach. Rotterdam is a interesting sail in. It takes about 2 hours and you can see The Hague before Rotterdam. As it was Tulip season we walked from the terminal 1 block to a subway, to the train station then to Leiden, then a bus to the Tulips. Well worth it as it is a larger garden with lots to see, very busy also. We returned the same way then wondered the streets before getting back on the ship. In Copenhagen the ships dock a way from the city. They offer a free shuttle to a Subway station (Last stop on that run) then you can get onboard to wonder Copenhagen. There is so much to see there and the streets are made for either walking or riding a bike. If you are starting or spending a few days after in Copenhagen stay near the Central Train Station. You are in the middle of it all there and easy train ride to the Airport. Now the ship. Its a older ship but doesn't really look it. The food in the Main dinning rooms was very good, but sometimes the portions were very small (order another one then). Service was friendly for a European ship but out waiter wasn't the most efficient. We were in a section 7 tables of 2 and one of 12. The waiter always took the larger tables order 1st and waited to see if all the tables of 2 would fill up before taking our orders. We were always one of the last sections out of the dinning room. The buffet we used a few times for breakfast and once for lunch. As a buffet the selections seems limited. Pre-cooked omelets, pre-cooked eggs. Pastry was ok most of the time. Not much selection in fruit. Cabin Oceanview. Santos the Cabin Stewart was the best we have ever had (20 plus cruises). If we asked for something he had it within minutes. Guest services didn't seem to know a lot. As a Voyageur member we were entitled to a few perks. Good thing we were doing a B2B as we never got them to the 2nd leg. There are a limited number of shops onboard if you need things. The shows were another pleasant surprise. The ships singers and dancers do a few different shows so check them out
